Our total continues to creep slowly upward, and every penny of additional income
from now until the next check is generated will go directly to the NCSF in this
year's contribution. As I mentioned in a discussion over at
the Savvie and Lacey site, the exact amount I'll receive in this
check may vary a little due to shipping delays, Café Press's 30-day money-back
period (during which they freeze payouts), and other factors. But it should be
close to the total amount show above, and whatever isn't sent in this check will
remain in the account and go towards the next check... so either way, the NCSF
wins.
As a refresher, here's the deal: We currently have $4.49 in the NCSF donation
kitty. For all of 2004, I will donate every cent of each Café
Press check exceeding the minimum to the NCSF. What does that mean? My minimum
payout is $25.00. If I receive a check for $35.00 from Café Press each
quarter, I'll send the NCSF a check for $10 + $10 + $10 + $10 + $4.49 = $44.49.
If each quarter brings a $50 check, they'll get over $100.
