Enter the Lumenagerie Sweepstakes!

Win a copy of Lumenagerie, the successor to Michael Manning's Hydrophidian graphic novel (read: "adult comic book") which we gave away last month. This 8" x 11.5" book, approximately a $12 retail value, is an erotic beastiary, a gallery of illustrations done in Manning's signature wood-cut style for book covers, posters, albums, and more.

"Lumenagerie is a book-length tease compiling sketches, gallery pieces, and scenes from the realm of The Spider Garden. If you're not concerned with a story, this'll give you over 50 freaky pages of submissions and leather bondage. If you're already intrigued with the story weaving itself into The Spider Garden and Hydrophidian, this provides glimpses into possible clans Aviatrix, Canus, Equine, and Noctua." -- Philip Ray Simon.

"The books by Michael Manning...the ART...is stunning and beautiful...each picture is a story in and of itself and they pull you in...capturing your imagination and, for a moment, alter your reality. This reveiw isn't just for Lumenagerie, but for all of Manning's books. The simply black and white drawings leave the viewer/reader wanting more...and I truely hope Michael Manning will be producing more books in the future...they are simply amazing." -- Sonja from D.C..

The Lumenagerie Sweepstakes, sponsored by James LiGate, is easy to enter. Simply chat in Abbot's Place or The Dungeon as you normally would. Each day during the month, the top chatter as declared by Abbot's chat room statistics for Abbot's Place and The Dungeon will each receive one credit. (If the same person tops both charts, the credits will instead be given to the two people in the highest position containing two different chatters.) At the end of the month, the chatter with the most credits will be declared the winner. (In the event of a tie, multiple awards will be presented.)

Since Abbot's chat statistics span a full 28 days, what happened in the previous month will have a bearing on the contest statistics. (For example, on the 14th, the top chatter will be based on the first 14 days of the current month along with the last 14 days of the prior month.) So, it's important you get involved now if you plan to win.

Strategy also matters! If you're regularly one of the top chatters in Abbot's Place, you'll naturally want to maintain your lead there. But if you feel you have no chance of taking the top spot, concentrate on scening in The Dungeon where the traffic is low and the statistics are practically a blank page waiting for your nickname.

Remember, each line you type potentially counts towards your victory. The more time you spend chatting, the better your chances. However, please note that the chat logs will be reviewed. Flooding, an excessive number of short lines inconsistent with your usual chatting style, extended use of "pop-ups" or pasted material, or other similar actions will be considered abuse and will result in your disqualification.

Good Luck!
James

Contest Rules

This contest is not a game of chance. The person successfully meeting the contest requirements will be considered the winner. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Void where prohibited.

Cash or other substitutions may not be made by the winner. The sponsor reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal or greater value.

The winner's name will be posted at Abbot's Place within seven days of the end of the contest. The winner may claim his or her prize by emailing the sponsor within seven days and providing his or her legal name, phone number, and a valid address where the prize is to be mailed.

In the event that the winner does not respond within the allocated time or the winner does not provide the required information, that winner will be disqualified. The prize will be withdrawn and the runner-up will be considered the winner. This award process will continue until the winner requirements stated above are fulfilled.

All contest entrants acknowledge that problems with ISPs, telephone lines, computers, networks, and the like are a fact of "Internet life." Entrants agree that their standings and chances of winning may be uncontrollably and unpredictably affected by circumstances such as downed servers, problems with Abbot, or other difficulties. Entrants understand that the contest winner will be judged based solely on the chat room statistics as generated by Abbot, regardless of any incompleteness or errors in those statistics.

Eligibility Requirements

This sweepstakes is limited to United States citizens of at least 18 years of age. Anyone who has previously won an Abbot's Place contest during the current year is ineligible for this sweepstakes. You must already have unlimited World Wide Web and Internet email access. By entering this sweepstakes you agree, should you win, to have the name by which you are commonly known in this medium listed on this site as the winner. You also agree to provide your legal name, phone number, and a mailing address for delivery of your prize.
