Enter the Master's Manual Sweepstakes!
While focused primarily for Tops in the gay leather scene, The Master's Manual has been billed as "a comprehensive study manual emphasizing the theory and practice of erotic domination" that is also beneficial to other sexual orientations, submissives, and switches. Author Jack Rinella says, "I've written the book clearly, frankly, and without judgment so that any man or woman, regardless of sexual orientation, can find the information they need to make their dreams come true." Enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win this book, approximately a $15.00 value.
The Master's Manual is unequaled in its discussion of the attitude of power and the soul of a master. -- NLA-I Book Reviewer
This is an essential read for anyone wanting to understand how S/M can be primal, when leather can be spiritual, why someone could be proud of being a sadist, or how to find joy and wholeness in our dark sides. While much of the wisdom in The Master's Manual is gleaned from the gay leather scene, Rinella's honest and nonjudgmental writing is appropriate for people of any orientation who seek to learn more about the empowerment and ecstasy that can be found in leathersex. -- Cheryl Trooskin
Jack Rinella puts us into an okay space. His style of writing about bondage and kinky sex is matter of fact, down to earth, and "Hey, this isn't strange, this is us!" The Master's Manaual isn't so much a technical handbook as the gospel truth, a common sense reader designed to make us appreciate the simplicity behind what we often make so complicated. -- A U.S. Reader
While it might not have been around terribly long Jack Rinella's The Master's Manual is certain to become a classic. Less a guide to being a Master and more a guide to SM and leathersex, Jack has a comfortable style that is satisfying, at times humorous, and makes those new to the scene easy to accept themselves.Ralph WIlliams
The Master's Manual Sweepstakes, sponsored by James LiGate, is easy to enter. Simply chat in Abbot's Place or The Dungeon as you normally would. Each day during the month, the top chatter as declared by Abbot's chat room statistics for Abbot's Place and The Dungeon will each receive one credit. (If the same person tops both charts, the credits will instead be given to the two people in the highest position containing two different chatters.) At the end of the month, the chatter with the most credits will be declared the winner. (In the event of a tie, multiple awards will be presented.)
Since Abbot's chat statistics span a full 28 days, what happened in the previous month will have a bearing on the contest statistics. (For example, on the 14th, the top chatter will be based on the first 14 days of the current month along with the last 14 days of the prior month.) So, it's important you get involved now if you plan to win.
Strategy also matters! If you're regularly one of the top chatters in Abbot's Place, you'll naturally want to maintain your lead there. But if you feel you have no chance of taking the top spot, concentrate on scening in The Dungeon where the traffic is low and the statistics are practically a blank page waiting for your nickname.
Remember, each line you type potentially counts towards your victory. The more time you spend chatting, the better your chances. However, please note that the chat logs will be reviewed. Flooding, an excessive number of short lines inconsistent with your usual chatting style, extended use of "pop-ups" or pasted material, or other similar actions will be considered abuse and will result in your disqualification.
